5 Day Rwanda Primate Safari – Nyungwe National Park
Day 1: Welcome to Kigali city, Rwanda Capital
On arrival at Kigali Airport, meet our professional safari guide who will transfer you to Kigali city. If you arrive early, we shall have a Kigali city tour to visit the Gisozi Genocide memorial museum, Local Art & raft shops, Fruit markets and so on. Dinner and overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel, Manor Hotel, Chez Lando Hotel or Step Town Hotel.
Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will enjoy a scenic journey to Nyungwe forest National Park. En-route we shall visit the old King’s Palace in Nyanza. Lunch en-route, proceed to the Park. Dinner and overnight at One & Only Nyungwe House, Nyungwe Hill Top View Hotel or Gisakura Guest House.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking, canopy walk or relax
Early morning breakfast; proceed to the park headquarters for briefing. You will enter into the forest to search for the exciting chimps alongside other primate species such as Columbus monkeys, forest birds among others. Return to your lodge for lunch and relax in the afternoon or have a community walk to the nearby communities or Canopy walk for clear birding. Dinner and overnight as on the previous day.
Day 4: Forest walk- Visit the Kamiranzovu waterfalls
Breakfast, with your packed lunch move for a full day forest guided walk within Nyungwe Forest National Park. On this long walk, you will visit the Kamiranzovu waterfalls where you will enjoy your picnic lunch. On this walk expect to see a lot of bird species and also primates like monkeys among others. Return back to your lodge dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Return to Kigali – Late departure
After breakfast, we shall return to Kigali, lunch & then transfer to Kigali International Airport for your flight back home.
